Our Approach to Collision Repair

Modern collision repair requires a disciplined process, manufacturer guidance, and consistent quality control. Our approach is structured to support vehicle safety, repair accuracy, and long-term repair quality.

Research & Planning

Every repair begins with reviewing the manufacturer repair procedures for your specific vehicle. This documentation helps guide the repair plan, including required parts, structural repair methods, safety system considerations, and repair sequence.

Structured Repair Execution

Once the repair plan is established, work is performed according to documented repair procedures and monitored throughout the process. Defined checkpoints help ensure each phase of the repair is completed with consistency and attention to detail.

Verification Before Delivery

Before your vehicle is returned, the repair is reviewed through final quality control checks. This may include diagnostic scanning, safety system review, and coordination with qualified dealership partners when calibration or additional system verification is required.

Standards & Certifications

Certified collision repair requires more than general repair experience. It requires access to manufacturer repair procedures, proper equipment, technician training, and a process designed to support consistent repair quality.

Manufacturer certification programs help verify that a repair facility has the training, tools, documentation, and procedures needed to repair vehicles according to brand-specific requirements. These programs also require ongoing education and periodic review as vehicle materials, construction methods, and safety technologies continue to change.

At The Accident Repair Center, our 11 manufacturer certifications reflect a structured approach to collision repair. Our team follows documented repair procedures and quality control processes designed to support vehicle structure, safety systems, and long-term repair quality.

"The team at DCR were amazing! Very easy to deal with, very patient no matter how many times I called and had questions. My car was repaired to my expectations and my case was handled with care. I had used them before when they were Classic repairs and I could not imagine taking my car anywhere else. My only blah was that there were not enougu notifications on where my car was in the process but that would not deter me from going back or recommending DCR to others. Keep up the great work!!"

Jen Kargakos

"I was in a minor accident and was referred to DCR Systems by my BMW dealership. I was able to get in relatively quick upon calling. Everyone at DCR was very kind throughout the entire process! Ryan was the technician who worked on my car, and he did a beautiful job! He reached out to me when he found more damage (that wasn’t visible on the outside) during the diagnostic process than what the insurance originally appraised, and he even reached out to the insurance company himself. I didn’t have to worry about anything, and my car looks just like new! With the holidays playing a part, it did take longer than expected, but it was worth it for how great my car looks, thanks to DCR!"

Lorelei Brochetti

"Another great job by DCR. Thank you Pam and Lenny as well as the rest of the team at DCR."

Marc Stone

"I’m very happy with our repair results. We had a driver side door repair that was dented. The staff was very helpful with the whole process from drop off, setting up a rental car, and working with our insurance company."

Cole Emde

"I made a review on Google and they called me that day and handled it. They are all ways nice. And now we are moving forward to get my car fixed. Be back when it's all done."

Jimmy Parmertor

"I had my car repaired at DCR after it was hit in a valet parking lot. I picked DCR due to it being the preferred repair shop for Classic vehicles and my car was a brand new car from Classic Toyota so this seemed like a no brainer. They fixed the damage, it looked wonderful and all, but when I drove away I noticed that the gauge to read the outside temperature wasn’t working at all. As it turns out DCR didn’t realize that was part of the repair as that gauge was in the area of where the damage was. Sooo I had to bring my car back to DCR to have them install that feature - mind you I had already been without my car for some time for the original repairs so I was bummed to have to do this. They reinstalled the new outside temperature gauge for me and it appeared it was working, but as time went on it wasn’t working as it wasn’t installed properly. Once again my car is at DCR for a few weeks for them to figure out how to install a simple outside temperature gauge. Once again they say it’s fixed, but once again it’s not so I’m back again to have it fixed and this time they think they really have figured it! Contacted someone in North Carolina and everything. It’s still not fixed properly. I told them last fall that it wasn’t fixed properly, but I was not able to take time off from work to bring it in anymore and then I had a series of major life events that put this whole situation on the back burner. This is an error on the original repair, not a faulty car or temperature gauge. I am now stuck with a car that reads a temperature outside of -40 degrees (or thereabouts - it will fluctuate what the temperature is outside but it reads below freezing ) and unfortunately that impacts cooling my car as it’s getting hotter outside because of this faulty gauge. I have called and left messages for a week. Managers will not call me back. I’m being totally ghosted because they don’t know how to fix THEIR error."

"I brought my CADILLAC EV in with paint damage and molding was off from a sideswipe upon entry to garage…white paint on red car. Pam took car back to shop removed white paint and installed molding.I was thrilled car didn’t need painting !! I would take any car their for repairs (first class) plus no charge!!"

Loren Huff

"DCR Systems in Mentor was amazing! I brought in my Lexus with a deep scratch, and they did a one time courtesy repair and removed most of it. The car looks brand new again. Everyone was super nice and professional, and Pam was especially great to work with. Highly recommend!"

Anthony Pero

"I couldn’t be happier with the work they did on my F-350 Platinum. They repaired the entire front end after an accident and honestly the truck came back looking better than new. The paint match and body lines were perfect, and they used all OEM parts which was a huge deal to me.

Originally I was told it could take 3–4 weeks depending on parts, but they had everything completed start to finish in only 2 weeks. The quality of work, communication, and turnaround time were all excellent. It’s hard to find a shop that can move fast without cutting corners, but they absolutely delivered.

I would recommend them to anyone looking for high quality collision repair. Couldn’t be happier with how the truck turned out."

Slim Shady

"I was having a lot of trouble finding somewhere to get my driver’s side rear view mirror fixed after the plastic part came off, until I called here! The receptionist was attentive and I came in the next day. Waited probably 30 minutes and they washed my car for free! Very good service and was over all a great experience."

Rubaab Khan

"I want to express my serious concern regarding the charges I incurred while my vehicle was at this facility recently. I was explicitly told that the estimate would be free of charge. Despite that, I was required to pay over $1,100 simply to retrieve my car

I dropped off my vehicle early after being assured it would not be an issue. Instead, I was charged daily storage fees for every day the car remained on their property—including weekend days when the shop was closed, and even two days after the vehicle had already been declared a TOTAL LOSS! Another charges were the gate fee $100, admin fee $150 & another $150 for indor bay charge🤯 At no point was I notified that these charges were accumulating, nor was I contacted with any update on the status of my vehicle.

I only learned of these fees when I arrived at the shop in person. With a holiday weekend approaching, it is clear that had I not taken the initiative to come in, the vehicle would have remained there even longer, resulting in additional unnecessary charges.

Additionally, I requested an itemized receipt multiple times and was repeatedly told it would be emailed to me. It was not provided until my fourth request, and only after speaking with a different staff member. This lack of transparency is unacceptable."

Anto Jakovljevic

"This place is highly recommended for your auto repair needs. They are super nice, patient and very understanding. The work they do makes your vehicle look brand new like you just got it off the showroom floor. Excellent service, nice people."
